The SCBAA has received several calls about The Bail Project posting cash bonds in Greenville.  They are a national organization that believe the bail industry should be eradicated.  You can see their mission at https://bailproject.org So far, we have only heard of them in Greenville but this is just a start.  They will be in your county sooner than later. 

We are concerned because if they are successful, we will all lose the ability to provide for our families in South Carolina. The executive committee has been meeting on this and I have alerted some of our sureties to get ideas of how to fight this encroachment on our industry. I have met with the American Bail Coalition and talked with some officals.  It is time for the SC Bail Industry to get involved. 

We will be meeting in Greenville on November 17th at the Hilton Greenville 45 West Orchard Park Dr Greenville, SC 29615. (864) 232-4747.  Anyone in this industry is invited, member or not.  Agents bring your SCBAA ID or bail license to enter. If you are not a SC agent please email [email protected] to RSVP. We are also asking for you to register ASAP so we can make sure we have enough room.  

The Board will meet at 10:00 am to discuss the BP subject and plan our upcoming year.  The assocation will meet at 12:00 pm.  Members may come to the board meeting but must be invited to speak by a board member.
